SOA is like an iceberg: most of the hard stuff is beneath the surface, and the business rarely gets to see anything but the very peaks. In this session, we will explore how rules, events and complex event processing can get more for the business out of IT's investment in structured architecture. Using rules and complex event processing allows you to rapidly create declarative logic that works on the existing messages flowing through the SOA fabric: put simply, you can extract more value from your existing messages and data.
In this session we will explore the concepts of Events, publish/subscribe models, and how Complex Event Processing (CEP) can extract real-time information from multiple event models. In addition we will look at how Rules and a Business Rules Server fit into a service-oriented architecture. Looking at the WSO2 Business Rules Server and the upcoming WSO2 Event Server, we will explore real use cases and understand how these technologies can enhance your enterprise systems and agility.
