Interoperability is the key feature that made Web Services the most widely used, successful off-spring of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
WSO2 StockTrader is an online stock trading sample application with functionality equivalent to the Microsoft .NET Stock Trader sample benchmark application and IBM WebSphere's Trade 6.1 sample application. WSO2 StockTrader is powered by WSO2 WSF/PHP and WSO2 WSAS and implements the application both in PHP and Java.
The benchmark application was showcased as part of the Microsoft Tech•Ed North America 2008 IT Professionals conference, where Jonathan Marsh - Director of Mashup Technologies at WSO2 - together with Microsoft's Greg Leek - Director of Connected Systems Division - explained WSO2 WSF/PHP Interoperability with Microsoft WCF.
