Importance of Performance and how WSO2 ESB handles the Non-Obvious

This article introduces performance and discusses why architects should consider performance implications when creating solution architecture. Then the article dives into Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) performance, and details recent WSO2 ESB improvements and performance impact.

WSO2 ESB with Oracle™AQ as Messaging Media

OracleAQ provides database integrated messaging functionality. Its' underlying system works with oracle database. OracleJMS (OJMS) is the JMS interface to the Advanced Queuing (AQ) feature in the Oracle database. OJMS has JNDI support, which could be used to get 'ConnectionFactory' at run time and the connections returned from it will be able to transparently connect to the JMS server.

In this tutorial, we will look at the configurations for WSO2 ESB to work with OracleAQ as the messaging media.

Clustering Landscape for WSO2 Stack

This article describes clustering from an architectural perspective and introduces "End Goal", "Choice of the Front End" and "Shared States across nodes" as three deciders in choosing the right clustering strategy for a particular use-case.

New Configuration Model of Synapse

If you are trying out a latest Apache Synapse build off the Apache Synapse SVN trunk, you will notice that the Synapse configuration model has gone through some significant changes lately. In the past, Synapse was programmed to load the entire mediation configuration (sequences, endpoints, proxy services, tasks etc) from a single XML file, named synapse.xml.

Binary-Relay: An Efficient way to pass both XML and non-XML content through Apache Synapse

In this article, Srinath Perera, Software Architect at WSO2, presents an extension to Apache Synapse (Binary-Relay), which enables it to send non-XML content through its processing pipeline while only processing transport headers. This article presents an extension to Apache Synapse, which enables it to send non-XML content through its processing pipeline while only processing transport headers.

Exposing a non-secured service with security using ESB

Heshan Suriyaarachchi, Software Engineer at WSO2, demonstrates a scenario where an unsecured service is accessed through a secured proxy using Username Token authentication.

Leveraging Open Source Integration with WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus

This presentation at the AFITC 2009 (Air Force Information Technology Conference, August 24 - 27, 2009), Montgomery, Alabama by Sumedha Rubasinghe covered how you can deploy enterprise integration faster and easier with the WSO2 ESB.
