Installation Guide


(1) Installing WSO2 Data Services 1.0-RC2


System Requirements
  1. The directory containing the INSTALL file will be the root and it will be treated as Data Services home directory and let it be WSO2DS_HOME.
  2. All the shell scripts and .bat files are available in WSO2DS_HOME/bin folder.
  3. To start Data Services one can use either wso2server.sh in Linux flavours, wso2server.bat in Windows or daemon.sh in all *nix system.
  4. If using wso2server.sh or wso2server.bat, execute them directly. ex: >./wso2wsas.sh If using daemon.sh, one has to use it { console | start | stop | restart | status | dump } options.

(2) Post Installation Modifications

  1. Changing HTTP/HTTPS ports - You can change http and https ports in transports.xml file which can be found at WSO2DS_HOME/conf.

(3) Data Services IDE Installation. (Eclipse IDE)

  1. Download the Eclipse WTP 2.0 or later verison from the Eclipse WTP Distribution site. (http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/downloads/)
  2. To Install Data Services IDE Integration, you can copy org.wso2.ws.dataservices.ide_1.0.0.jar to plugins directory of eclipse.

Note: If your eclipse WTP version is 3.0 (Ganymede) and it runs on Linux, then copy org.wso2.ws.dataservices.ide_1.0.0.jar to dropins directory of eclipse WTP

(4) Running Samples

Data service sample is available at WSO2DS_HOME/samples directory. The instructions to run sample are given in the README file of sample.
