That is a possibility. At the moment, we are not using ODBC in 
Sandesha/C, but the MySQL C API 
(http://docs.mandragor.org/files/Databases/Mysql/Mysql_manual_en/manual_toc.html#C). 
This API is GPL lisenced.

If we can create the database with MySQL at WSF/PHP install time, then 
we do not have to ship the db. I hope that this could be easily done 
with a script. Still we would have a hard dependancy on MySQL, there is 
no other alternative as of now.
