Hi All,

At the moment Tools developed for WSAS reside in
https://www-lk.wso2.com/wso2/ot/svn/oxygentank/tools.wso2.org. This
repository is internal.

Current tools include ,

1. Mar/module.xml validator,
2. WSDL11 to WSDL20 converter,
3. WSDL11 validator (yet to be completed due to wsdl4j issue) and
4. php based aar/services.xml validator.

In addition to this, this repository also holds resources that's been
linked with OT. They are in the 'site' folder. It includes resource phps for

1. Converters
2. Tryit
3. Validators
4. Assets (images and styles)

This 'site' is directly linked with OT.

The code for validators and converters are reside in 'modules' folder.
We use Maven1 to build the aar artifact. We copy these aar artifacts to
a WSAS instance that's running in 'tools.wso2.org'. There is a link from
OT to these aars static content.

Thus, we would like to separate out the Tools (code) and OT related
resources from the above SVN, due to following reason,

The code for tools should be public and we would encourage people to
write them and most importantly use them.

OT related resources should be maintain separately.

Thus we propose the following,

1. The tools source code should be moved out from
'https://www-lk.wso2.com/wso2/ot/svn/oxygentank/tools.wso2.org' to
'https://wso2.org/repos/wso2/trunk/tools'

We would only move out 'modules' folder and Maven1 related build scripts.

2. OT related resources should reside in either
'https://www-lk.wso2.com/wso2/ot/svn/oxygentank/tools.wso2.org'
privately or in public location.

3. Tools project also need a wiki to track down
development/improvements/proposals etc.

Please be kind enough to express your consensus on the prior.

Thank you

Saminda
