Hi Team,
The WSAS release is scheduled for May, so we need to start preparing for
it now itself. More specifically, the following are the major areas to
be completed:
1. Update Build Scripts
This will need major changes since we've switched to Maven2 and in this
release, the build script will have to download/archive ALL the sources
of all 3rd party libraries. Deep, please start on this ASAP since this
will be a time consuming task.
2. Update QA Test Cases
We've added quite a few features since the last release. Clustering
will require a whole lot of test cases & test planning, and needs to be
thoroughly tested. The QA team needs to start immediately on this.
3. IDE Integration - WSF SDK
Sandakith, what is the status of this task? Did you manage to get WSAS
running within Eclipse. Don't forget, we will have to support IDEA too.
4. Ubuntu Integration (apt repo)
Chinthana, what is the status of this task? We need to get this into
the next release. If necessary, try to get Deep's help.
5. AJAX Client
There were plans to make this fully functional. Saminda/Sanka, what is
the status of this? I recall that both of you were working with Jonathan
to improve this since it is an important feature for the Mashup Server
as well.
6. Clustering
The context replication part has been done in Axis2. It needs lots of
testing. Chamikara, please comment on the status of this. I've almost
completed the Configuration Management/ Node Management part. The
scriptable admin client is in progress. I'm thinking of supporting only
shell scripting for the moment. Configuration versioning is one of the
major tasks remaining in this area.
7. Data Services
Sumedha, can you take the responsibility of integrating this to WSAS? We
will have to incorporate some UI functionality in the Management Console
as well.
