    Resolution: Not a bug

This issue is caused due to the method we used to update resources. We actually add a new resource, even for updating resources. In that case, it is appropriate to update the description with the description provided in the new resource (which is null, in this particular case).

I think the solution for this is to provide better UI support for updating resources. I have opened an issue for that  (REGISTRY-351).
