[Registry-dev] <root> / stuff links are not obvious enough

No, nothing with <> around it, that's the horrible part. :)

Why not just the icon?  That's the way it was working before, and that 
looked fine.  Considered another way - if you *can't* click the icon, 
why is it even there?
