[Registry-dev] Atom Atom everywhere

Hi folks:

I think our suggested use of Atom in a couple of places in the protocol
[1] is overkill. In particular, POSTing a full Atom entry in order to
tag seems a little silly. The only thing the entry contains is the tag
name and the author - well, we know the author when using HTTP anyway
because we're using HTTP authentication. So IMO this should really just
be POST "tag=<tagname>" and that's it.

Same for rating. POST "rating=rating".

Keep it as simple as possible, and make it as easy as possible to use.
Doing it this way would mean simple web forms can tag or rate, which is
a bonus.

Thoughts?
