Cool..
Milinda is working on the tooling part of scraper POC. Hopefuly we'll be
able to put up a demo by Monday.. :-)
>As Jonathan suggested I have created a scraper service which can be invoked
by giving the proper configuration XML. I uploaded the service and a sample
Java client at >http://wso2.org/repos/wso2/people/saliya.
We seriously need to start using the mashup svn (or may be create a scratch
folder there).. Let's figure out the folder structure, etc. on next week.
(Apologies for delaying it :-( ).
>Note: The scraper used is Web-Harvest
<http://web-harvest.sourceforge.net/> . Thus still the configuration XML
follows the rules defined by Web-Harvest. The ultimate goal is to come up
with a language as suggested at
>http://wso2.org/wiki/display/mashup/Web+Scraping+Service
So far so good for now.. IIUC it'll take only an XSLT transform to make our
language works on top of web harvest..
>I'm currently working on writing a Web based client to invoke the service
using WSRequest native implementation.
Hope what you meant is the java script client which we can use inside the
mashup service :).
Thanks,
~Thilina
