Hi I am looking to the host objects to see if there is a functionality to mash data like sort, filter, combine, extract etc... Do I need to write a custom host object or is there a host object which would provide these functionalities?

You do not have to write new Host Objects

You do not have to write new Host Objects. Examples for all of the above can be found in the Mashup Server documentation. Here's an on-line link http://wso2.org/project/mashup/2.0.2/docs/index.html The documentation is bundled with the distribution as well. The language of mashup composition is Javascript (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WSO2_Mashup_Server) Hope this helps, Tyrell

Hi I have been reading this

Hi I have been reading this documentation but I couldnt find. For example can you show me where is the documentation about a simple merge or sort on a data? Lets say I had an excel and I published it on data server and now I have it as xml on my mashup server. I want to manipulate this data, sort, filter etc. How is this going to work? Is there some host object provides some basic data manipulation? If there is can you please tell me the name of this object?

You can do this using E4X

You can do this using E4X (http://wso2.org/project/mashup/2.0.2/docs/e4xquickstart.html). You can have a look at the tutorials available at http://wso2.org/library/mashup as well. Although a bit old, this article should help too in your case - http://wso2.org/library/tutorials/exposing-legacy-data-services-using-wso2-mashup-server Tyrell
