Programatically Deploy Processes

Is there any way to use ODE's DeploymentService to deploy processes to the BPS? We hope to automate our deployment through our CIS, but I could not find any way to access this service. It does seem possible to deploy/undeploy processes through adding and removing files from the repository/bpel directory (then waiting to see the tmp directory update for verification). However, that type of file manipulation is susceptible to upgrades and access restrictions. It looked like the UI just does a multipart form post, is it possible to provide credentials within the post? Does the BPS allow any other method for process deployment? Thanks!

What is the BPS version you are using

Can you please tell me what is the BPS version you are using. There are some differences in the way we handle deployment in 1.0.1 and 1.1.0.

Deployment differences

We currently use 1.0.1. A bug we opened keeps us on that version. How do the 2 deployments differ (apart from the basic structure of the zip file), and is it because of the upgrade to ODE 2.0? Thanks for any help you can provide!

BPS 1.1.0 has a new management API

WE changed the way we handle deployments in 1.1.0. Now we don't have a deployment web service where users can directly call and deploy a process. Currently what we do is puting the BPEL archive in to the 'bpel' repository using a service specific to our UI functionality. We are doing patch release(BPS 1.1.1) in early January 2010. We'll fix the bug you have reported for it. Also we are planning to introduce a new Web Service API for deployments. You'll be able to directly deploy BPEL packages through it. When reporting issues, please report them on the CARBON jira (https://www.wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON) under BPEL or BPEL UI compoent. We'll let you know once we are done with fixes. Thanks Milinda

Good additions for 1.1.1

Thanks for the update! Deployment through web services makes a lot of sense for us. I look forward to seeing the management Web Service API in the new version. Sorry for submitting that bug in the wrong place, i'll be sure to use the carbon jira in the future.
