Yes, we do need to improve when showing bpel compiler outputs. This problem has already raised in the post http://wso2.org/forum/thread/5455 and we are working on it for the next release. It is hard to think of the error in the bpel with the information you have provided. Therefore, Can you upload the BPEL package. Then we'll be able to try and figure out the error.

To deploy a process in BPS, the directory structure should be, invokews.zip |------ invokews           |------deploy.xml           |------invokews.bpel           |------invokewsArtifacts.wsdl           |------stockquote.wsdl Then the compilation error is shown...
