How to configure default name space?

The output of my data service is: <datas6:employees xmlns:xml="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" xmlns:datas6="http://ws.wso2.org/dataservice"> <datas6:employee> <datas6:fname /> <datas6:lname /> </datas6:employee> How do I configure the data service so that the default namespace is not linked to each element? Desired output below: <datas6:employees xmlns:xml="http://www.w3.org/XML/1998/namespace" xmlns:datas6="http://ws.wso2.org/dataservice"> <employee> <fname /> <lname /> <employee> Any help is much appreciated!
