[commons-dev] svn commit r4578 - trunk/commons/deployers/axis1deployer

Hi Saminda: 1) Thanks for setting the pom up - I was going to do that later today but now I don't have to! :) 2) We should leave the artifactId as just a1deployer, since the wso2 part is already well-covered by the groupId. We don't call axis2-kernel apacheaxis2-kernel, for instance. This change seems repetitive. [commons-dev] svn commit r4578 - trunk/commons/deployers/axis1de

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Glen, Glen Daniels wrote: > Hi Saminda: > > 1) Thanks for setting the pom up - I was going to do that later today > but now I don't have to! :) > > 2) We should leave the artifactId as just a1deployer, since the wso2 > part is already well-covered by the groupId. We don't call axis2-kernel > apacheaxis2-kernel, for instance. This change seems repetitive. It has been commons project convention to add wso2 prefix to the artifactId. The reason behind this was, once the /lib directory has been created, it will contain the a1deployer.jar. Looking at this no one could identify, if this was related to WSO2 or some other standard project. Thus, adding wso2 prefix would give us a commercial value as well. IMHO axis2-kernel etc, would imply it's Apache right :) , thus no need for apache prefix.
