[esb-java-dev] Feedback on beta2

Paul Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. Here is the status. Unfortunately, we didn't do RC1 today, but hope to do it on Friday. Done Endpoint Management 1) the text edit boxes don't show any cursor. Its very distracting. 2) For the SOAP/POX and SwA/MTOM - instead of "select a value" we should have "Leave As-Is"     Instead of POX it should say "Plain Old XML (POX)" 3) We should have a default timeout. We also need to say what the duration is measured in (seconds or ms) 4) Action should say:     Discard message     Execute fault sequence 5) If you select POX it should disable WS-A, WS-RM, and WS-Sec setting boxes Sequences If you haven't saved the following popup box comes up. The English and spelling are atrocious: "There might have none updated data in the editing mediator. Do you want to keep the changes if tehre are any?" This should read: "You haven't saved your changes. Do you wish to keep any changes?" The makefault mediator should * any required fields. The filter mediator shouldn't say '"Add" Add XPath' It should say: "Change to" XPath Only / XPath and Regular Expression I like the Value/Expression drop down list in the Property mediator editor. Can we have the same in other places such as the Makefault mediator. In the property mediator, it has a drop-down box with "Select Scope/Correlator/Axis2". This is really a bug in the Synapse config language: the lack of the attribute means "Synapse", and there should really be an explicit entry that means Synapse. However, "Select Scope" should really be "Synapse" and mean no attribute is added. The Header Mediator also has a Value/Expression drop down box. But firstly the order should be consistent (Value/Expression not the other way round) and its also too wide a box. For some reason in the Property Mediator it looks good and here it doesn't. The Action Dropdown box in Header Mediator currently says 0/1. It should say SET/REMOVE. Some of the buttons are too small. For example I've seen Specify WS (Actually Specify WSDL), and Add Proper (you can gues that one!). Pending 6) Can we please pre-define a security policy and RM policy. For security I suggest we define a couple. 7) This isn't very important. The drop-down lists still don't look quite like standard right-click menus. There is too much free space top and bottom and at the left/right margins. The sequence editing still if far too spread out. I have a large (1440x900) screen and I can't see the whole of a sequence that just has the log and makefault mediators if the makefault editor is open. When I add a new mediator, it would be nice if it went straight into the edit mode for that new mediator. The fault code should be a drop-down list. Being improved / fixed The error messages when checking if you've set stuff correctly are pretty random. If you try to "Save As" you get a useful error message, but if you just try to save you get "Unable to save sequence" so you don't know what's wrong. For some reason if you try to specify an anonymous endpoint for a proxy service, the drop down box appears in the left hand top corner of the screen. thanks asankha
