Authorizing users in mediator

Hello! http://wso2.org/library/knowledge-base/converting-http-basic-authentication-ws-security-username-token I have 3.0 installed and would like to, let clients authenticate using basic authentication and do the authentication at the mediator. This plug-in however is old. The line 192 "return realm.getAuthenticator().authenticate(username, password);" is not a valid method call anymore. I would like make sure the user added in ESB has the right to access the service. "realm.getUserStoreManager().authenticate(username, password)" only seems to check if the user/pass is valid. I'm having trouble finding the right documentation for this. Might the call: "realm.getAuthorizationManager().isUserAuthorized(userName, resourceId, action);" be a correct one? How do I get the resourceId and what is the valid action?
