Richard Raszka

Richard works as an IT Architect in Melbourne and focuses on solutions utilising SOA techniques. He has been in the IT industry since 1985 working in the industries of engineering software, defence simulation, telecommunications, insurance and banking. Richard is a technologist that marries technology to the business needs of the client, providing an innovative strategic direction enhancing business competitive advantage. He has been involved in innovative green fields complex systems integration solutions using middleware technologies such as WebSphere integrating new systems with existing legacy systems. Richard delivers strong software methodology experience in the delivery of processes, methods and tools enablement assisting the delivery of projects for clients. His experience extends to development, application architect, solution architecture and performance architecture. Richard has authored papers in Belief, Desire and Intention (BDI) AI techniques for team decision making, a redbook on Rational Application Developer and a redbook on SOA governance. His current IBM Press publication "Advanced Java EE Development for Rational Application Developer 7.5" has been released August 2011. Richard has expertise in the use of Open Source and Rational tools in the delivery of solutions for organisations and skills in Systems Engineering and Architecture for the delivery of projects. Richard is an Open Group Master Certified IT Specialist, Certified Technology Consultant and a Professional Engineer Member of Engineers Australia. Richard believes in providing advanced solutions by "Keeping It Simple (KIS)" and aligning IT to business goals.
