How do you configure Carbon SSL ?

Forum - WSO2 Carbon - August 30, 2011 - 08:25

Hi,
I am a newbie and inherited Carbon installation which I am trying to figure out how to properly configure. The Carbon installation was developed by some WSO2 consultant who already left. Our installation uses self-signed SSL certificate to get to the carbon admin page (https://xxxxx:9443/carbon), and has services on port 9763. We just had some network security assessment that came back with the following findings:
a) this site supports weak SSL ciphers (DES-CBC)

Issue with new attributes created for any service in the registry

Forum - WSO2 GReg - August 29, 2011 - 22:35

Hi,

I am extending the Registry functionalities as per my company's requirement.

As a part of this project, when someone adds a new service into the registry, I am creating a new attribute for the service using the RegistryService API and giving it a value.

Attribute name: "FederationState"
Value : "Pending"

And whenever the lifecycle of the service changes, the value of this attribute will be changed accordingly and it will be shown in my custom UI. Everything works fine upto this.

ESB and Claim Management

Forum - WSO2 ESB - August 26, 2011 - 00:36

We have a base ESB install (v3.0.1)

We want to manage claims for our users but are unsure what needs to be done to access claim management remotely.

I thought we would be able to access RemoteClaimManagerService wsdl via https://:9443/services/RemoteClaimManagerService?wsdl but we get "Service RemoteClaimManagerService not found. Cannot display WSDL document."

I have installed all Identity features and the Claim Management Feature and still no success.

Any other configuration adjustments we need to do?

Thank in advance,
- Doug

Problem with ESB (JMS) and MB

Forum - WSO2 ESB - August 24, 2011 - 03:34

 Hi,

If you can tell me where I'm wrong or if I'm missing something would be very grateful.

I'm trying to activate WSO2 ESB JMS with WSO2 Message Broker, I am not relying on a manual I found on the network,

http://java.dzone.com/articles/introduction-wso2-message?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+javalobby%2Ffrontpage+(Javalobby+%2F+Java+Zone)

I am working with the following versions:

ESB: 4.0.0
MB: 1.0.0

wso2 3.0.1 and managing claims

Forum WSO2 IS - August 23, 2011 - 20:26

We have downloaded ESB 3.0.1 (can't move to latest just yet) and was wondering how one goes about managing/access claims?

I thought there would be a ClaimManagementService wsdl but I have not been able to find it.

We are accessing our ESB from a remote java client and need to create WS stubs to access.

Any help in identifying how one would go about interfacing w/ the claim mgt system would be great.

Thanks in advance,
- Doug

Differences between WSO ESB 3.0.1 and 4.0.0 WS-Security

Forum - WSO2 ESB - August 23, 2011 - 20:25

Hi,

I've noticed a difference between WSO ESB 3.0.1 and 4.0.0 with WS-Security enabled endpoints:

I have both versions of the ESB running with exactly the same setup. I have an endpoint that's protected by a WS-Security policy that uses x509 certs for signing and encryption. This endpoint is exposed to my clients via an unsecured proxy through the ESB and the ESB handles all the encryption/decryption etc.

When I make a soap call to the proxy in both ESBs, I get a response as expected. But there's one difference:

listservices method dies / NPE in org.wso2.carbon.registry.core.ResourcePath.<init>

Forum - WSO2 GReg - August 23, 2011 - 02:59

Greetings!

Even after restarting wso2 governance registry, I'm getting an error when I try to list services.

Can anyone help with this? We have a deadline for our deliverable on Friday and this is going to be really tricky for me to debug.

This started happening after I tried to do a 'save service'.

I can confirm that my MySQL database for the registry is working just fine...
